Thank you for taking the time to read this before reserving Candid. This project is so close to my heart, and has real potential to change the way we preserve our loved ones, and even our own memories....forever. This letter exists to put in writing exactly what your reservation is, and isn't, so there's no confusion later.

This is not a contract. Your $1 reservation does not obligate you to spend $3,499 or $4,999 on a Candid device. It is a soft expression of intent. You can walk away at any time, for any reason, no questions asked.

What you're reserving. A place in line for the Foundation tier ($799 future price), the Sovereign tier ($3,499 future price), or the Heritage tier ($4,999 future price), whichever you selected at checkout. The first 10 alpha units go to pilot families in 2026. The full production run begins in 2027. Your reservation keeps you near the front of that line.

What I'm promising you. When your unit is ready, I will contact you directly, well before any final decision is asked of you. You'll get full transparency on what the device does, what the price is, what shipping looks like, what to expect. From there, you confirm the purchase or you walk away. There are no automatic charges, no hidden fees, no follow-up obligations.

What happens to your $1. If you decide to complete the purchase, your $1 will be credited toward the final price. If you decide not to, the $1 stays with the project as your contribution to the journey (or we can send it back). That is the only money that will move until you decide otherwise.
